It's changed a whole lot since you've wrote it. And it's tons better than Google Maps and Yahoo! Maps. At least in my opinion it is. It's really cool. You should try another look at it.

Did you read more than the first paragraph? Plus what could you have against DRM free music. I don't really get the point of you posting that but oh well, I guess it adds to my comment numbers so thanks for that GCube.

Hi Chris,

I'm the developer in charge of the blog module, and I recently took over the online favorite experience too.

We're well aware of the bookmarks sync problem; that why we decided to fix it! I'm not asking you to go back to Flock, just use what you like and what you're comfortable with. But here is how work online favorites in the upcoming version 0.8:

* There is no "back and forth" synchronization.
* We keep an up-to-date (read-only) version of your online bookmarks locally for an easy access
* The star shows you whether the current page is on your service on not
* You can easily publish to your bookmark service, from the "add favorite" dialog or the "properties" dialog

The interface was confusing and people were accidentally deleting or overwriting their bookmarks. Now, you can't delete a bookmark and update the online bookmark requires an explicit action (you check a "publish to delicious" checkbox).

If you have time to check the 0.8.0 developer release (to be announced in a few days I think), that would be good to have your feedback on that too, compared to what's in 0.7.x.

Thats cool but for me I want to buy it because it's a great product not because it has an apple logo. The deal breaker for me is that its probably going to be in the UK around £300 / 400 or maybe even more (which would put it above even $600) with a £30 / month contract. For me to pay a contract like that is ridiculous because currently I have a pay as you go phone I hardly ever even keep charged, nevermind actually use, so I would never use all the talktime and texts I would get on a contract. The only thing that I would really use the contract for is the web but you would probably not get unlimited usage for under £40 or even £50 per month and this isn't even 3G, it's pretty crappy edge speeds so there's no way I can get this thing even if it is amazing. I know it has wi-fi so what does 3G matter? Yeah but Worthing as far as I know isn't a haven for free wi-fi. This is no San Francisco where you can't get away from wi-fi at all.
No doubt there will be at least one new iPhone next year so I'll wait and see what happens and whether or not they release a cheaper, iphone nano model on pay as you go or something, or at least the current iPhone with 3G and a lower pricetag.

I'm also hoping that the phone will be available on o2 when I come to want one. But then again I'm pretty open to switching to someone else like t-mobile, orange, vodafone or virgin so I guess I'm covered pretty much whoever gets the exclusivity.

I'm done with being a slave to apple and buying everything they come out with, but at the same time it just so happens that they make the best mp3 players, computers and now media extenders and other things. If I was buying a mac pro though for example and wanted a more affordable screen, I'd get a dell no doubt not because I like their computers much, but their monitors are great value.

[...] I know a couple of posts ago I said I’m past the stage of accusing Microsoft of simply copying apple and not innovating. I’m trying not to, but whenever I see demo’s of vista features (like at the CES keynote) I can’t help but think “almost everything they’re showing here is a complete copy of panther / tiger”. I mean windows calender (iCal), windows mail (Apple Mail), windows photo gallery (iPhoto), windows dvd maker (iDVD), windows search (spotlight) and windows gadgets (dashboard widgets) and maybe some other things. I didn’t mention iMovie HD because Windows Movie Maker has been in it for a while. Although saying that I think HD is only available from Vista onwards, but that was to be expected anyway with the HD revolution well and truly underway. The only things I can think of that havn’t been copied from osx other than Movie Maker are the ultimate edition features. These include iptv for sports and things which I don’t think that many people will be able to use anyway because of the bandwidth requirements, plus it’s not that useful anyway. Then there’s the ability to make you desktop a movie which doesn’t appeal to me and probably not many others because it’s so distracting and a waste of resources just like windows aero. Groupshot isn’t in osx but I doubt I would really use that either, nevermind paying for ultimate edition to use it. I do like the idea of better security and improved networking in Vista but when you think about it these things are really more of an afterthought these days, you just expect them to be there and be better than before. So you can’t really count these. Plus I think the networking in xp is pretty passable although it doesn’t handle wi-fi as well as it could do and changing the name of the pc can be a little confusing. [...]
