Ok, you may be wondering what this blog has to do with 3D or galaxies.
The name originated from a while ago when I got into VRML (Virtual Reality Modelling Language) and I started making tons of 3D stuff. I enjoyed making unrealistic space stuff, hence choosing 3Dgalaxy.org as my domain. I made that site into a community with 3D chat, message boards and things. It was a pretty cool idea and I managed to pull it off on a low budget, which is a pretty good achievement I’d say.
When I experimented with new ideas, I would make a a new section of the site, and eventually created a portal page which branched off to all the sub-sections, including the old version of this blog at 3dgalaxy.org before I moved it here.
3D Galaxy.org is now retired and just redirects here. I decided it wasn’t worth keeping it online. It’s now part of my growing portfolio of design. The 3D Galaxy name stuck and even though it doesn’t really mean anything anymore, I just like it so it remains my blog title.
So there you go, it used to mean something, but now it doesn’t. Oh and my PSN name is The3DGalaxian as well. I took the name on Xbox live as well just in case I ever get an Xbox 360.
Also, recently I started using my tumblr account at christill.com as my personal blog / online scrapbook so now I use this site more for my more well-thought-out blog posts and game reviews. Over on my other site you’ll find more clippings from sites, videos, photos and short thoughts on things.
